Show Mrs, Rose S. Fuller Succumbs to Heart Attack Tuesday Death claimed Mrs. Rose S. Fuller, 70, widow of John P. Fuller and active civic and church worker of Cedar City, early Tuesday afteroon, June 17, at the home of her nelce, ; Mrs. Rulon Wood. Mrs. Fuller sue- ;( cumbed to a heart ailment from which she had been suffering for sometime, having been in a serious condition for the past two months. Born In St. George on October 26, 1870, a daughter of Daniel Seeg-mlller Seeg-mlller and Ellen Smith Seegmlller, early pioneers to southern Utah. Mrs. Fuller spent almost her entire life in various southern Utah communities. com-munities. While teaching school in Kane Countv she mpt Mr Tniw whom she married on June 1, 1898. Mr. Fuller died of a heart attack on January 9 of this year. In 1901 Mr. and Mrs. Fuller came to Cedar City where they attended ' the old Branch Normal School for three years, after which they attended at-tended the University of Utah at Salt Lake City where Mrs. Fuller received a life certificate for teaching. teach-ing. The couple moved to Uintah county In 1906 where Mr. Fuller owned and operated various ranches. They returned to Cedar City to make their home In 1914 and Immediately Im-mediately upon their arrival opened open-ed Fuller's Golden Rule store which for many years was the leading department de-partment store In this part of the state, and which they operated until un-til 1934. Always active In church, club ' and civic affairs, Mrs. Fuller was serving her second term as city treasurer trea-surer and was secretary of the Cedar Ce-dar City library board at the time of her death. She had been active in Republican party affairs for years and had served as president of the Women's Civic Club, as well as holding various stake and ward offices In the L. D. S. Relief Society So-ciety and Young Women's Mutual Improvement Association. She is survived by a brother, William Wil-liam W, Seegmlller, president of the Western States Mission cf the L. D. S. church at Denver, Colorado; Colo-rado; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Frost of Kanab, Mrs. Mesha Stewart of Alamo, Nevada; Mrs. Ellle Wooley of Ogden and Mrs. Maggie Mc-Quarrie Mc-Quarrie of Salt Lake City; four half-brothers, Adam Seegmlller of Cedar City, Sterling Seegmlller of Sprlngdale, Daniel Seegmlller of Salt Lake City, and Paul Seegmlller of St. George, and one half-sister, Mrs. Moroni Perry, also of Cedar City. Funeral services will be conducted conduct-ed In the Cedar City L. D. S. First Ward chapel Friday afternoon, ' June 20, at 2 o'clock by Bishop George W. Grimshaw. Burial will be made In the Cedar City cemetery under the direction of the Southern Utah Mortuary. Friends may view the body at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Wood at 911 West 1st North from 10 a. m. until 1 p. m. at which time It will be taken to the First Ward church where It will He In state until the time of the services at 2 p. m. |
