Show Civil Service Exams Announced Actuarial Mathematicians arc needed to fill positions in the Railroad Rail-road Retirement Board and the Social So-cial Security Board. The United Statfcs Civil Service Commission has Just anounced an examination to fill these positions, the salaries ranging from $2,600 to $5,600 a year. Applicants must have had experience exper-ience In professional acturial work, and must have completed a 4-year college course unless they can substitute sub-stitute additional experience for this education. In addition they must have pn.ssed certain parts of the Actuarial examinations of the Actuarial Society of America or ol the American Institute of Actuaries. Persons who have not passed thcue examinations will be required to take a written test In acturial scl-1 ence. Applications must be filed with the Commission's Washington office not later than November 13, 1941. I Another examination just announced an-nounced by the Commission is for: Junior Alultisraph Operator. $1,-410 $1,-410 a year, open to men only, as there are adequate registers of fs-male fs-male cliglblcs. Applicants must show that within the la.st 5 years they have had at least 6 full months, or the tlme-equlva'.ent, of paid experience in operatln power driven multlgraph machine. Three montns must have been In setting and distributing dis-tributing type and in the composition composi-tion of complex forms.
