Show Housing Facilities For Outside Students Sought By B. A. C. With the opening of school set for September 8, officials of the Branch Agricultural College are faced with the problem of finding living quarters for the outside students stu-dents who are expected to enroll and have Issued a plea to the citizens citi-zens of Cedar City to cooperate as much as possible. "One of the most limiting factor of Uie growth of the B.A.C. is the lack of housing facilities,'' said Director Henry Oberhansley. "Citizens "Citi-zens of Cedar City have, in the past, made great efforts to provide living quarters for students and faculty, and this has been appreciated appreci-ated by the school administration. But this year, the school must again call upon the citizens to provide housing facilities for students stu-dents and new faculty members. Two prospective teachers have already al-ready declined positions here because be-cause rents were so high compare:! to where they are now working. I mention this to illustrate the ne;d for more cooperation," the director explained. "If every citizen of Cedar City who has a room, an apartment, or a house to rent would call the school telephone number 88, and list their facilities, they would be doing the school and the incoming students a very great service," he continued. Besides listing the housing accomodations, ac-comodations, a great help can be done the school In boosting the registration, now that the high school has gone, If those in Cedar City who can provide work or board and room for students in exchange for labor or produce, would also call and leave their names, according to Director Oberhansley. Ober-hansley. Persons who can provide work In exchange for labor or produce, should, besides listing their names, explain the nature of the work to be done and the nature of the produce desired. |
