Show Toquerville. Mrs. Vivian Pendleton nee Sitapley of Cedar City, was-the was-the recipiant of the manifestation manifesta-tion of the good will of the young people of this place in the nature of a bundle shower at the home of Miss Pearl Wallace. Wal-lace. On the night of the return re-turn of Mr. and Mrs. Pendleton from St. George temple where they were married the young people here turned out en masse and a most enjoyable time was spent until the wee small hours of the morning. All wish the happy couple a prosperous journey jour-ney through life. The state road commission ordered the making of a new road into Hurricane from the river bridge co replace the one washed away just previous to Peach day. . Manager Gates is now there with his force and will soon have a good, grade completed which will be very much appreciated. Dr. R. Leigh is still here and finds quite & fieldfor his services serv-ices as dentist. The people yet have a hope of again tasting beef some time in the future and are preparing therefor. We hope to have a .good representation repre-sentation at the Dixie Academy at its opening next week. . Our Mutual Associations were reorganized last Sunday as follows: fol-lows: R. C. Savage, E. R. Hig-bee, Hig-bee, and A. C. Newell for the presidency of the young men's and Mesdames Eva G. Higbee, Edna Bringhurst, and A. Laura Anderson for the presidency of' the young women's association. |
