Following is the program prepared by the Sporting committee for the County Fair, to be held September 15, 10, and 17, and which covers the three days that thofnir will be in ses- sion and precludes the possibility of n dull moment during the entire period. per-iod. All residents of the county are, invited in-vited and urged to join us and make the fair a complete success. The premium list will be in the hands of the printers by the time this meets the eyes of the public, and it is expected to be circulated within a week or ten days at most. A purse of $60 will be given the champion basket ball team and a purse of $200 will bo given rfhe champion cham-pion base ball team, provided throe or more teams compete. Liberal purses will be given the champion wrestlers in light and heavy weight classes. Rules and Regulations. There must bo at least three entries en-tries in eadh of the track and field events, and an entrance fee of $1.00 will bo charged each man who enters each of those events or the basket ball games. Teams entering the base ball or basket ball games or the relay race must be composed of men from the Bame town. (Medals will be given rather than purses for any of the events if win-nors win-nors desire them. The entrance fee for each horserace horse-race will be 20 per cent of the purse. All entries must bo made not later than 8 o'clock p. m. of the day previous pre-vious to any vcnt as scheduled. Any horse winning three scheduled races will be barred from entering i other purse races. Three or more horses must be en- '" tcred and two or more must start in each race, otherwise such raco may bo declared off. t The first horso raco each day will be called at 2 o'clock, p. m., and the others within 15 minutes after the result re-sult of the event preceding has been declared, and when a raco is called by the judges the horses must be on the track or forfeit tho entrance fee. When four or more horses are entered en-tered and three or more start, the horse finishing second shall save its k entrance fee. Entering of saddle or other horses 1 ofrinfcrior speed, merely to comply with rulo seven will not bo allowed. Riders must weigh at least 112 lbs. All events are open to anyono wishing wish-ing to enter. The committee reserves the right to make further rules and regulations for any event. |
