Show Correspondence BRANCH A. C. NOTES. Wednesday evening tho Juniors entertained en-tertained the Seniors at tho homo of Miss Ruth Webster. Everyone present pres-ent hod a delightful timo. The Senior class pins came this week and wo are suro that everyone has noticed them, because, though thoy are simplo, they are unusually attractive. Wednesday evening tho FreshieJ and Sophs went back to their yesterdays, yester-days, hunted up and attired themselves them-selves in some of their costumes of childhood, and had a real jolly "llttlo boy and little girl" frolic at tho B. A. C. m m n After chapel Tuesday, May 18, the lady members of the faculty and all tho girls of tho B. A. C. met Mr. Homer in the auditorium and discussed dis-cussed the question of uniform dress es for the coming school yoar 1915-10. It was decided in this meeting to make tho wearing of uniforms compulsory com-pulsory in the institution. Last Saturday and Monday evenings even-ings tho opera entitled, "Olivette" was presented in the B. A. C. auditorium. auditor-ium. All expressed themselves as enjoying the performance immensely. Tho success of tho opera, we feel suro, has been sufficient to in a meas-ue, meas-ue, at least, repay Mr. Tollestrup as well as all who took part, for their efforts to plcaso and entertain the audiences. Do not fail to see "Tho Perplexed Husband" in tho B. A. C. auditorium Friday evening, Mny 21. We feel confident that tho drama will be a success, suc-cess, as several of the cast have been in our dramatic club before and we know what they can do. As for the others, we can truthfully Bay that they show unusual abilities in dramatics. dra-matics. All of the cast have had excellent ex-cellent coaching, by Mr. Christenscn and Miss Parry. Tho last B. A. C. chapel for tho school year 1014-16 was conducted by Mr. Christensen, Miss Beth Hamblin and Miss Bernella Gardner. Each played Beveral piano solos. Miss Janet Jan-et Smith read a paper entitled, "Ad-vico "Ad-vico to Girls," and gave a comic reading. read-ing. Mr. Christensen read an excellent excel-lent paper on "The Benoflts of Physical Phys-ical Education," and he also gave a general report of tho work our track team did In the stato meet held recently re-cently in Salt Lake City, in which we took twenty-one points, coming off with aocond place. A student body meeting was called Thursday at 10:30 a. m. for the purpose pur-pose of discussing and encouraging additional B. A. C. club work for the coming summor. It was unanimously voted that our mayor should appoint ono person from each town in southern Utah to keep in close touch with the college during tho summer, and also to bo responsible for creating all possible pos-sible spirit and enthusiasm for the B. A. C. in his town, becauso Mr. Homer says wo are going to have an enrollment of five hundred students stu-dents in a few years, at most; and the students who aro now here want to help verify his statement. |
