Show HARDEN YOUR ANIMALS EARLY Don't wait too long to put your work animals into condition for spring work, is the advice now being given by Dr. H. J. Frederick, veterinarian veteri-narian at the Utah Agricultural College. Col-lege. Azoturia, known by a swelling in the loins and a stiffening in the joints of the horse, often results from placing the animal suddenly at hard work and on concentrated feed, says Dr. Frederick. The wise farmer will begin the hardening process early and get his horses in shape so that not a day need be lost when spring work begins. If the horse should develop azoturia, immediate cessation of work is necessary, says Dr. Frederick. |
