Show KANARRAVILLE. Knnarra, Utah, April 7, 1915. The home of Mrs. Orilla Williams had a narrow escape from firo last Saturday night. Mrs. Williams while preparing her son's supper in tho kitchen used a candle which set in an upright position on the tabic with melted wax from the candle, which was left burning until her son should return. Ho did not come as soon as was expected, and the candle; burned down to the table and set fire to it. The table and a cano rocker wcro entirely consumed by tho flames, as wa3 also a section about six feet in diameter bf the floor. The heat crack:d the glass in the windows and cupboard, and ruined the telephone. When Alvin, the son, returned he went to tho dining room to got something to cat, and found the room in flames. With the aid of Emery Pollock, ho extinguished ex-tinguished the firo without giving the alarm. Mrs. Williams was not in the house, having gone to the home of her son Jodie to spend the night after having prepared tho meal. |
