Show Thomas Judd Passes Through. Hon. Thomas Judd of St. George passed through Cedar City last Saturday Sat-urday on his way home from the Panama Pan-ama expositions, where he has had charge of a portion of the Utah exhibits ex-hibits and where ho will shortly return, re-turn, afteivremalnlng for tho Fruit Fcstival-in Si. George and looking after af-ter his interests in the Dixie country. The road from Lund was very bad the day Mr. Judd came in and the stage trucks had a hard job in making it through. Loaded teams traveling the grade were dragging tho axles of the wagons in the mud, he stated, and if nny more rain had fallen at tho time vehicles of any kind would have had to leave the grade and follow one of the old tracks in order to make it through at all. Mr. Judd gave encouragement to .the idea of getting out suitable literT aturo advertising tho resources and advantages of the southern counties of the state, and announced Mb willingness wil-lingness to do all that he could to assist as-sist in the circulation of such literature, litera-ture, provided it was gotten out early enough to be of use before the closing clos-ing of the expositions early in December. |
