The exercises exer-cises will close Monday evening with the Alumni's banquet at the College. Tho year has been a very successful one nt the school, and the graduation class this year will bo the largest in tho history of tho institution. A lot of good work has been accomplished in nddition to tho school work proper. State wide attention has been attracted attract-ed to the school through the success achieved in athletics and basket ball; a stronger bond of fellowship has been created among the various classes for one another, as well as for the school; at a total cost of more than $1,000, a year book, tho "Agricula," has been issued, which is a great credit to the institution, and this expense bus all been borne by the students and the business men and other subscribers to the work; a more successful school paper has been mnlntnlncd lhan usual, and nn exceptionally atrong line of Lyceum attractions have been presented, pre-sented, to the education and entertainment entertain-ment of the student body and the public pub-lic generally; in addition, there have been successful musical entertainments entertain-ments and various other activities, not forgetting the very successful Farmers' Farm-ers' Round-up and Housekeepers' Conference, Con-ference, at which the record of attendance attend-ance for this year was broken for the state. When wo consider all tho different phases of the B. A. C. It is a pretty cxtensivo institution, and means more to this section of the state than we stop to realize. The Record wishes to compliment tho faculty and officers upon the good showing made, and the people upon the splendid educational advantngts which the school affords them, and which we should not fall to appreciate and enjoy. In another part of this issue will be found a farewell message from President Pres-ident WIdtsoe, who it will be remembered remem-bered is severing his connection with tho Utah Agricultural College to assume as-sume the presidency of the University of Utah. You should not fail to read his lotter to tho local institution. |
