Show SAHARA. . Sahara, Utah, Oct. 11, 1916. The regular meeting of the Sahara Civic Center club was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Fairley, Saturday evening, October 7th, 1916, with a good attendance and the usual good time. After the business session, our prs- ident, Mr. H. O. Dougherty, gave a very interesting talk on his experiences experien-ces in Alaska. Musical and literary program, followed by refreshments, concluded the evening. As Mr. and Mrs. Fairley are among last spring's arrivals from the East, the club wishes to extend many thanks for their courtesies, and the general good time. Next meeting to be held at the ' home of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Pearce, Saturday evening, October 21, 1916. For the benefit of enquiring friends, ' the club meets the first and third Sat-' urday of each month, unless otherwise other-wise stated. ae On account of the nature of Mrs. G. Corn's wounds, she departed for Los Angeles, California, September 30th, to join her husband, and they will . spend the winter on the coast. We are aware it will take time for her to re-! euperate, and hope to have them with . us again early in the spring. Mrs. Arlic Tourman and little daughter Alice departed for Los An-geles An-geles October 2, 1916, to visit with her sister, Mrs. J. Mellbaum. m Mr. F. Howland has returned from Los Angeles and is again at work on his claim. HI Mrs. G. Johnstone and children spent the week end with the Bumpus family of Ford, Utah. The Sahara post office will be open for business within the week. Mrs. Marie Johnson, postmaster. Miss Grace Magnussen returned from Lund last week, and entered the high school Monday, October 9, 1916. Considerable building is being done in and arround Sahara. Union Sunday School 10:30 a. m.
