Green of Parowan is in Salt Lake having some dental work done. see Mr. Allen of Idaho and Miss Maud Skougard of I'arowan were married here a few days ago. Robert E. Daltori, Wm. B, Thornton arid John T. Mickelson have gone to Phoenix, Arizona, to shear sheep. Leon Evans, representing the International In-ternational Harvester company, is registered at the Orten Hotel this week. Dr, Mutton reports the arrival of a baby girl nt ench of the homes of Leonard Kvnns and .loseph B. Daltori. All concerned doing nicely. Mrs. Golds Foremaster and little daughter, of St. George, are visiting with Mrs. Foremaster's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Pritehard. Miss Daisy I.emmon of Parowan and .1. P. Barton of Paragonah were married a short time ago nt Beaver, to the surprise of their many friends. e e e Mrs, M. A. Orton and her daughter Ceddie, are spending a few days in Salt Lake City, visitine with Mrs. Orton'a daughter, Mrs. Ora Mncfar-.Inne. Mncfar-.Inne. e e e Mr. Branson, the oil man, is in Parowan Par-owan again looking after the company's com-pany's interests here. Mr. Bronson expects to meet with the Commercial club at Cedar City and Iny his plans before them next Saturday. Mrs. B, II. Lewis of Denver, Red 'ions instructor for- hospital garments, gar-ments, was here recently and called Upon the Red Cross ladies Mis. Lewis was very much pleased with the excellent ex-cellent work they are doing and complimented com-plimented them very highly. e e e Alfred .1. Gunn left this week for Twin Palls, Idaho, where he goes to manage F. U. Nelson's ranch. Mr. Gunn has been in the employ of Mr. Nelson for a number- of yean and is now returning to work, after a visit of SVeral weeks with his mother. Mrs. A. Gunn. see The fUnda of the I'arowan Branch of the Red Cross have been increased by the efforts of the clerks of tin Coop. Co-op. M. A M. Co. and Equitable Co-op. stori's, by whom $1:15 was raised. I 'ancing parties were given and refreshments re-freshments sold. Much credit is certainly cer-tainly dus the clerks for their untiring untir-ing efforts in the behalf of this good cause. Next Tuesday, March tlUh, is tin Tfith anniversary of the organization of the Relief Society and a celebration will be given at the opera house in the evening, beginning at 7:80, From 7:110 until X:'!0 a bazar will be held and many useful articles will be on sale I'he rendition of a program will consume the time from 8:80 to 9:00. Dancing from 9:00 to 12:00, A good time is expected and an invitation to the public is extended. |
