Show I I ENOCH ; I Enoch, Utah, Jan. 22, 1920. The school at Midvalley is making excellent progress under the efficient tutorship of Miss Fstelle Jone.s who accepted the position after the holidays, holi-days, the Midvalley pupils having at-1 tended school here up to that time. . . . Strict cpiarantinc has prevailed here since the outbreak of the flu and it is hoped that the dread disease may escape us. The only cases so far re-ported re-ported are the three oldest children of Wm Crimshaw who have been at-1 tending school at Cedar City, but they j are getting along nicely without any serious complications. We are very pleased to report that Aunt Susannah Jones who has been very ill for the past two months is slowly but surely improving. On her return from St. George the latter part of Novernlnsr she wns stricken with paralysis and with other complications has had a very hard time of it but with careful and patient nursing she is able now to sit up nnd It is sincerely hoped by the whole community that she may very soon reguin the use of her limbs. We are very proud now of the fact that we can boast, viectrlc lights for which we have looked forward to so expectantly and we assure you that they meet with every expectation. I Nearly all the homes are wired and I people enjoying the many conveniences conven-iences that electricity brings. The meeting house is well lighted and ; we expect to have some amusements ! of a very good order, including the-! the-! atricals which, by the way, arc lioing worked up now. This being a dairy j section, we expect to see u great deal ; of the work done by electrical power. We have boasto1 industry in the past and we do not i .tend to let our past works be the end of it. It is very evident that there will lie a great 1 1 many improvements made in the near future that will prove we are very I much alive to our responsibilities. |
