Show S KANARRAVILLE. f; J Kanarraville, Utah, May 18, 1916. ' v $r" School clases here today, after a " very successful winter. The teachers have given satisfaction to the pupils i and parents. Sam Ford has been having some cement work dono in and around his home, including walks around the house, floors for his porches, the plastering plas-tering of his cellar complete, also the plastering of the outside of the old part of the building. The plaster has been marked off to represent stone 1 work and greatly improves the appearance ap-pearance of his home. It is a neat job and was done by Messrs. Barker and Woodbury. The school teachers gave an opera last night, by combining the school. They had the children well trained, and the attendance was very gratify ing, and made the teachers feel that their labors were appreciated. Tickets Tick-ets wero only 15 cents, and the proceeds pro-ceeds will be use in purchasing a largo flag for the school. The sheep men are moving their flocks to the summer ranges, and nearly near-ly all have left the valley now. People here are wondering when the county and state road commissioners are coming down to look over the roadB in this part of tho country, and especially our mountain road, as it is necessary that some work be done on it before any loads can be hauled over m It's a pity that Jack Frost can't stay in his own country and not be visiting us quite so often as he Has been doing of lato, for his visits are not altogether altogeth-er pleasant. From the looks of our alfalfa, we don't care to see the gentleman gen-tleman again at this season of the year for a good while to come. |
