Show FORMER INSTRUCTOR PERFECTS INVENTION fl From the Park City Record fl we learn that R. V. Smith has H invented and patented a new H devico for working slimes in H connection with mines. One fl of the appliances has been in- fl stalled at the Daly-Judge mill fl at Park City. The principle of H saving the values from the slimes,, as worked out by Mr. w ,- ,.. -, Smith, is entirJoy new, and fl consists of a belt conveyor, fl allowing the slimes to come to fl a stand-still, with respect to the M belt, thus precipitating the val- fl ues" which are saved by a sepa- fl ration process, such as is now in M use, or a chemical process fl which is being developed. A M company has been organized H with a capitol of $25,000, of which Mr. Smith is the president. presi-dent. Mr. Smith was formerly instructor in-structor in chemistry in the Branch Normal of this city. Mrs. Smith is at the present time' visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Knell. |
