Show PAROWAN A. N. Tollcstmp of Cedar City was a visitor In Parowan last Saturday. Mrs. Ella Slaughter of Salt Lake City, accompanied by her sons, Wayne and baby Lincoln, are visiting Mrs. Mettle Rasmusscn, Mrs. Slaughter's' mother. I j Mrs. Minnie Burton of Milford is; visiting relatives and friends here. I Charles L. Richards of Logan spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Richards. ' Tho Republicans of Parowan held a primary last Monday night to elect delegates to attend the County convention con-vention which will be hold here on August 6th. Wm. II. Lyman presided at tho primary and tho following delegates dele-gates were chosen: S. A. Haltcrman, M6rgan RJchnrds, Silas J. Ward, Wil-ford Wil-ford Day, E. L. Clark, John II. Gurr, William H. Lyman and James L. Adams. Ad-ams. Edward Bontley, Oscar M. Lyman and II. M. Hendrlckson were chosen as alternates. The following resolution resolu-tion was offered by Silas J. Wnrd and was unanimously adopted by all present: pres-ent: "Bo it resolved by tho Parowan precinct Republicans in primary assembled as-sembled -this 31st day of July, 101G, that the delegates elected from this primary to attend the county convention conven-tion to be held in Parowan August 5, be and aro hereby instructed to use their influcnco and cast their voto for delegates to attend the state convnft-tion convnft-tion to be held in Ogden August 8th, who aro in favor of statewide prohibition." prohib-ition."
