Show COMING TO CEDAR? Wc have been asked so often lately when the railroad is to be built to Iron Springs and Cedar, that wc have made extra effort to ascertain the correct information and publish it. But wc must acknowledge ac-knowledge that we have so far been unable to get any more facts than have already been given out. So far as things look on the surface it seems that a branch road will be built from Lund to Iron Springs, and in the near future at that. Wc understand that the surveyors survey-ors who have been in the field for the past month will have completed their work by the end of this week and-their report will be sent to headquarters at once. How long the ircport will take to get by all the officials and be passed on, is problematic. prob-lematic. It is also as uncertain when the actual construction of the road will commence, even if the report made by the surveyors is accepted. There arc rails enough at Lund to lay the entire stretch and we understand that their arc plenty of engines and cars to equip the branch when completed, so "there should be no delay on that score. All wc can say to our readers is that it looks more favorable for a railroad from Lund than ever before be-fore in the history of Cedar. |
