SALT LAKE PARTY TO JOIN. m 00--" 1 Plans have been underway for some ,1 time for a grand two days celebra- , tion of the Glorious Fourth in Cedar 1 and at the Cedar Breaks. 1 At a joint meeting of all civic or- 1 ganizations of this city on June 16, I held in the lobby of the Iron Com- mercial and Savings Bank, plans were I completed for what will be the larg- est 3rd and 4th celebration ever at- I tempted in the southern part of the 1 state. I Advantage has been taken of the 1 fact tnat President Heber J. Grant of the Latter-day Saints Cnurcn, 1 Governor Maybe, Mayor Neslln oil I Salt Lake City, Dr. Geo. W. Middle- I ton of the L. D S. Hospital, in ljt I Lake City, and many other notables H of Salt Lane, comprising a party of 1 about sixty people, will celebrate at 1 the Breaks, and a large celebration is 1 to take place in Cedar City on the 1 3rd, consisting of patriotic services, S sports, dancing, etc., after which on $ July 4th the townspeople here as4 well as the people from the surrounding 1 towns and cities will join with the 1 distinguished Salt Lake party In a grand celebration at Southern Utah's W most beautiful scenic attraction. Every man, woman and child in Southern Utah is invited to partici- i . pate in both celebrations, as also to 8 join with Cedar lit welcoming the I , Salt Lake party at a rousing public 3 , .get-acquainted meeting in the taber- nacle on the evening of July 2nd. Committees have been appointed to take care of the various activities and it is requested that every effort be made by each Individual committeeman committee-man to aid and assUt in the holding of the two days patriotic, pleasing and impressive celebrations. After attending the patriotic services ser-vices commencing at 10 a. m. party will leave at 12 noon for the Mackel-prang Mackel-prang ranch where lunch will be served, serv-ed, after which the party will proceed to the Breaks where a camp fire meeting will be held. Tuesday, July 4. Special celebration at which all the people of Southern Utah are invited. Salute at daybreak, Flag raising at sunrise. Serenade by Cedar band. Breakfast, 7:30. Meeting, flO:00, with the following program: Music by band. Singing, "America.' Prayer, Pray-er, Pres. Heber J. Grant. Musical number. Oration, Gov. Chas. R. Maybe. Mfusical .'Number. Talk Mrs. R, R.
