Peter Mortensen, was one of the first settlors in I Iron county and one of the orig- inal hand-cart pioneers who I crossed the plains to Utah. With his wifo and seven chil- dren, Mr. Mortensen came to this county, blazing the way for .; civilization. Today the descend- .; ants of this family are numer- .; ous and have settled in most of : the western states. ? An extensive program has been arranged, members of tho family .from various sections of tho country boing assigned places on tho program, and it is expected that a majority of the family will bo prcsont.
