Show I THE FUUCSGHOOL Friday, April 1st, the Junior H High School went on an April joy H ride, starting at 9:00 o'clock in the H morning and returning severally H from 5:00 to 6:00 o'clock in the H afternoon. H About 172 were present, includ- H ing as chaperons Miss Guernsey, H Mr. Milne and Mr. Pendleton. H Many rode horseback, but the ma- H jority were in wagons of which H there were three, and well filled at H H Arriving about 1 :00 o'clock about H one mile from the Gulch the party H proceeded to refresh themselves oh H Ihc excellent lundi prepared by a selected committee of girls. H After tramping about the hills a H bit, exploring the coal, catching a H glimpse of the natural bridge, and H taking up a collection of wild vege- H tation, they proceeded home. Ev- H crybody pronounced the trip a suc- H cess, each according p his taste of H expression. H Mrs. S. J. Foster talked on ' "Thrift. H Mrs. J. G. Pace gave a lecture H on "Manners." H . Miss Sarah Guernsey talked on "Obedience."
