Show Washington's Birthday. Washington's Oirtbday was fittingly oelobrated in Cedar, although rather quietly. All tbo business houses were olosod, aud the town bad an apperanao of a holiday, with the usual carousing eliminated, however. In tbo morning at the Normal Auditorium a large orowd was out to listen to a program prepared by the sohool. It was well rondered and ovoryono in attendance wero ploaaant. ly entertained. In the afternoon tho customary children's danco was given at which all, the children wore preseut; at least so it seemed. Tho children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and tbo only complaint to bo heard was that tbey wero compelled to stop before their craving for tho dance was entirely satisfied. in tho overling u danco for adults was bad, at which a good program uf interesting numbers was given The hall wob jammed with people, and had it not bean for tho fact that the hall hua been recently enlarged thero would not have boon room to accomodate nil the dancers. As it was the place was taxed to it's limit. However, everybody bad a good time, and enjoyed tho progaam as given. |
