It was conduct- ( H, ' cd under tho auspices of the Primary M Association for tho special benefit H of tho Primary children, though tho M parents were cordially invited, who H' also did mu.h in a material way, as M ' it was desirous to have them join H in tho festivities. After tho open- H ing exercises in which tho children H , wuro tho most prominent, a short ( H ' pithy program was given and then( H the timo turned over to games, read- H ings singing, etc., and then Santa H camo in with a bag of apples and H .thero was a lively scramblo for them. ' K Each child undor ten years got n' H fine stocking filled with candy nnd H nuts from a largo trco standing in B one corner of tho room and decorat- 1 cd appropriately. In all thero wero Hj present seventy-two souls and they H who wero unnblo to bo present wero H- ' remembered and something sent to H" them. H oo j Tho, well drillers on the Owens H farm have struck it rich for tho own- Hj er as they have encountered two dif- H forept stratas of water in tho ono H well that runs thirty gallons to tho B minute.
