good work on midland trail J al whitmore went up to the horse canyon stretch of tho the al midland idland trail yesterday on request of state engineer morgan to seo see how work is progressing and reports tho the road through horse creek can cannon on completed and camps being moved to tho the mouth of that canyon and to crandall canyon there arc are 80 to 00 90 men employed and between 30 and 40 more needed it has been reported that tho the road to salt lake could not be opened by july but foreman in charge of the work still claims lio he can mako make good in time it is tho the opinion of mr whitmore that tho the fore foreman tUan may be right but ho he would like to see a larger force employed so there would be more certainty about opening the road in time he ile will so recommend to mr morgan
