Show Savage Wild Buffalo. A Coylon newspaper prints tho following fol-lowing regarding the head of a wild buffalo, which was shot In that Island recontly: "Both tho horns were badly bad-ly worn off. This was probably caused by tho animal's constantly digging up the ground with Its hugo horns at tho lenst oxcltoment or on scolng an enemy en-emy at a distance. It Is said that tho animal was a savago and dangorous brute, and tho mere appcaranco of tho huge head clearly shows It to havo been so. A bullet was found imbedded an inch deep in tho neck of tho buffalo, buf-falo, closo behind tho loft ear, It having hav-ing been previously shot nt by somo one, evidently nt a very long distance." |
