Show 0 OBITUARY. Fisk. The announcement of the death cf Captain Daniel Fisk, which occurred on June 9, was received with feelings of deep regret and sympathy by hundreds hun-dreds of friends in the intermountain region. He was beloved for his truly manly qualities, his refined manner, his innate kindness and generosity of heart. The most admirable trait of his character, and one that endeared him to all, was the deep love he had showed show-ed for the beautiful, .gentle wife, who died five years ago, and for whom he never ceased to grieve. Captain Fisk belonged to the Loyal Legion and the G. A. R., having enlisted en-listed in the volunteer service in Indiana Indi-ana at the opening of the civil war. Captain Fisk was a brother-in-law of Mrs. O. J. Salisbury of this city. The remains will be brought to this city for interment near the body of his wife. Mr. Fisk was a convert to the Catholic Cath-olic church, having been baptized after the death of his wife by Rt. Rev. Bishop Scanlan. Captain Fisk died a most edifying death; it is consoling tp know that he is happily united in death as in life with his noble Christian wife. May his soul and the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace! Carlson. The sympathy of hundreds is extended ex-tended to Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Carlson in their bereavement, caused by the death of little Evelyn Carloine. For many months past the child has been ill and everything that medical skill could do proved unavailing. Last fall she was taken to California, in the hope that she would recover, but the lovely child was not for this world and on Sunday she passed away, leaving leav-ing forever her desolate parents. Evelyn was 11 years old; she was a child of lovable manners, with the patience pa-tience and cheerfulness of character not often seen in one so young. These traits of character, together with a beautiful face, won for the winsome little girl the love of all. May God comfort the sorrowing parents in thi3 hour of trial. Little Evelyn is safe in the care of her Heavenly Father, who welcomes the little one to Himself. |
