The credit of the entire en-tire affair is in a great measure due to the ladies of the various parishes who lent their time and assistance. Commencement exercises in the various schools will take place within a few weeks. Preparations are being rapidly made for the event. The classes in all the Catholic schools are unusually large and hundreds of invitations invi-tations have been issued. On Friday evening of this week a meeting was held in the parlors of the Immaculate Conception school to ananpe for the second annual banquet ban-quet of the Alumnae association, which was organized last year. There is only one meeting a year, and it is a sort of reunion preparatory to the banquet festivities. The officers for the coming year were elected and the responses to the various toasts assigned. assign-ed. The banquet will take place in the music hall of the school on the evening even-ing of June 18. At that time the graduating grad-uating class of 1903 will be admitted to the ranks. It is probable that Louis F. Hagus. who is now a theological student in Baltimore, and who is a member of the first graduating class of the school, will arrive in the city in time for the banquet- The only other member of that class is now in the nrdpr of Sisters of Charitv. Other members of the Alumnae association are scattered throughout Colorado, but all have signified their intention of attending. One of the prettiest weddings of the week was that of Miss Mary Cry-an Cry-an and Mr. August Schultz which took place at St. Leo's church on "Wednesday "Wed-nesday morning. Miss Cryan had only been a resident of Denver for a short time, but has endeared herself to a host of friends by her charming manner. man-ner. Her home is in Cathay, North Dakota, whichs is also the home of the groom. After a brief wedding journey Mr. and Mrs. Schultz will be at home in Cathay. The best wishes of a wide circle of friends accompany them. The League of the Sacred Heart held their monthly meeting in Logan Avenue chapel last Sunday afternoon. Preparations are being made for the special devotions to be held throughout through-out the month of June. By special request of Bishop Matz a novpna will be begun on Saturday in every church in the diocese preparatory prepara-tory to the Feast of Pentecost, which falls this year on May 21. For the nine days special prayers will be said and the devotions will be of unusually impressive character. One of the most impressive services hieh has ever been conducted by the Young Ladies' Sodality took place In Lozan Avenue chapel on Sunday evening, when ten young women were received into the ranks with due ceremony. cere-mony.
