Show OBITUARY. Gifleran. The funeral of the late Nicholas Gil-leran Gil-leran took place from St. Mary's Cathedral Ca-thedral last Friday morning. Requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Currran. The deceased was a nativf of Ireland and was 26 years old. The death of Mr. Gilleran was particularly sad, on account of his relatives living far away in the east and his parents in Ireland, but kind friends showed him every attention all during his illness, ill-ness, particularly the young men whc worked. with him in the Keith-O'Brien store. I The deceased was a member of the Knights of Columbus, beloneinsr to the De Soto Council. New York City. Mr. Gilleran was a noble, Christian man whose life was exemplary, and his faith was the beautiful characteristic character-istic faith of the Irish race. The sympathy of -many is extended r to the bereaved parents and relatives. ; It should be consoling to them to ' know that their dear one's life was ex-t ex-t emplary, and his death peaceful and ' holy. ; May God rest his soul and give him i the reward for his strong, noble Cath-' Cath-' olic faith. King. On Tuesday afternoon Rev. Father Curran performed the funeral services over Jacques Lindsey King, age one year, who died on Sunday. The body was In charge of Mrs. I. C. Murphy of this city. The little one fell ill .last week, and despite the efforts of the best medical men in the city, passed away. The parents of the child are living far away from the city and were unable un-able to attend the funeral. Mrs. Murphy is inconsolable over the boys death, and if her loving care could save him he would have recovered. re-covered. Little Jacques was a particularly bright boy, who endeared himself to all by his winning baby ways. Much sympathy is felt for those who mourn him, but their faith tells them that the dear, dead baby is safe forever in God's tender keeping, safe with the angels who have wended their way heavenward in spotless inocence to God. A quartette of sweet little singers from the junior choir of St. Mary's rendered many beautiful hymns at the funeral. The children were Florence Isabel Higgins. Isabell Higgins. Wagener.
