The funeral of Mrs. D. M. Johnson took place from the Catholic church last Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The funeral ceremonies were conducted by Rev. Father O'Brien of Livingston. The funeral procession was quite a large one, considering the snowstorm, and many of the friends and relatives of the deceased followed the remains to their lastt resting place in the Catholic Cath-olic cemetery. Mrs. Johnson died Friday Fri-day afternoon at 5 o'clock, after a week'? illness. She was taken sick with an attack of peritonitis last Saturday, Sat-urday, and although an operation was performed, no relief could be crbtained. The deceased, who was only 30 j-ears old. was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Copple of this city, and leaves, besides her husband, d. M. Johnson, two small children and several bibthers and sisters. sis-ters. -Her death is universally regretted regret-ted in Bozeman. BOTTLDEIt, (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.) Attorney General Nolan and M. J-Garrett J-Garrett of Helena were here on las Tuesday as members of the state board of education to make an official visit to the school of the deaf, dumb and blind. Mrs. John BerkinTwho has been ill for some weeks past, was taken to St. Peter's hospital in Helena on last Tuesday. She was accompanied by her husband and daughter, Miss Nellie. Thomas Nelligen, an old timer of Elkhorn, ha spent the past week in Boulder. He will soon leave Elkhorn for good, but has not yet decided where he will locate permanently. Rev. Father O'Farrell of Helena held services in the valley cn Sunday, in Boulder on Monday and in Basin on Tuesday. |
