Show Mrs. O'Donnell and the Tramp. "Good morning. Aunty; you have a sweet, good natured face," remarked a tramp as he accosted Mrs. James O'Donnell. who was bending over a washtub in Millerton. N. Y., the other day. "Now get to -work and get me a -p'-'e warm breakfast: some beefsteak beef-steak warmed up, potatoes, scrambled eggs and a good strong cup of coffee. That's a good girl he concluded. Picking up the clothes stick, '"ts. O'Donneil replied; "I like your cheek, to come here in your patent leathers. Now you take my place" at the tub mighty quick or I'll wallop" you over the head." Whereupon the tramp turned the wringer until he got a sore hand and then skiddooed. |
