Waler! and Mr. John Murphy, jr.. came to the Park Sunday, to attend the funeral of their father, Mr. J. Murphy, who died, last 'week.' Mr. Dai B. Mrs." Fred Stoll returned from ButU-, where she had been visiting her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Henry Cooney. Thursday afterncjon. Jan. 14. The funeral services took place from the Catholic church Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. j By the death of Mr, John Murphy on Jan. 16, Park City has lost one of itf most honorable citizens ar-d sterling Catholics. Deceased, who attained the age of 64 years, was a native of Ireland, Ire-land, but for the past -twenty-five years has resided in the Park, consequently he was one of the pioneers of the place. Gentle, kind, genial, honorable and sincere, sin-cere, Mr. Murphy was a model of every Christian virtue, and his death, is deeply deep-ly and widely regretted by all who knew him. Deceased leaves a wife and nine children 'to mourn his sad demise. The funeral services were held at the Catholic church on Monday afternoon, and at their conclusion the remains were taken to Salt Lake, where the interment in-terment took place on Tuesday at Calvary Cal-vary cemetery. |
