The close of September marks the loss to Rock Springs of one of its oldest and best known citizens, Mr. Felix Le-vesque, Le-vesque, who passed away at 6:15 on Thursday morning, at the Ogden hospital. hos-pital. Mr. Levesque left ror Ogden just two weeks ago, expecting to derive-some derive-some benefit from the hot springs at that city. While there he was taken suddenly worse and his condition was so serious that he was taken o the hospital, where an operation was performed on Tuesday morning. He never recovered from this operation, but passed away peacefully early Thursday morning. He was conscious con-scious until the end and spoke comforting com-forting words of farewell to his wife and children who were with him The remains were brought to - Rock Springs on Thursday evening and the funeral take3 place this morning at the Catholic church, of. which he was a most devoted member. Lellx Levesque Le-vesque was born in Canada, March 21 in 1S47. When a young man he came to Wyoming and was it valued employe of the Union Pacific railroad for thirty -three years. For the past thirty years he has been a resident of Rock Springs seeing it grow from a few shacks into a thriving city. He was known1 oy nearly every one In Sweetwater county, both rich and poor, and was h-ghly respected by all. In respect to his memory all business houses are' closed today during the funeral. He is survived by a widow and ten children, who mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate af-fectionate husband and father, one whose great Interests were always centered cen-tered in the home circle. All of the children are here except one daughter, Mrs. Eva Caron of Marshall Minn., who could not arrive in time for the funeral. fu-neral. Rock Springs Miner, Oct. 2. |
