Show ANACONDA. St. Patrick's Day Celebration. (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.) Anaconda, Mont., March 13. Elaborate Elabo-rate preparations are being made in Anaconda for the fitting observance of the Festival of Ireland's patron saint. At the present writing it has not yet been decided whether there will be a street parade or not. At 10 o'clock all members of the Ancient An-cient Order of Hibernians will assemble assem-ble at A. O. II. hall and march to St. Paul's church and attend Mass. After the services in the church it is eiuite unlikely that there will be any public demonstrations, although the day generally gen-erally will be observed as a holiday. In the evening there will beam gnifi-cent gnifi-cent progremme rendered at A. O. H. hall under the auspices of division Xo. 1. A. O. 11., of Deer Lodge county. He enjoys the reputation of being be-ing one of the best baritone singers in the United States, end this will be his first appearance before an Anaconda l audience. It will be a great day, and will be faithfully observed by every admirer of Ireland's patron saint. ! The funeral of Michael McCarthy took place on the 11th inst at 1 p. m, from the residence of Eugene McCarthy, McCar-thy, 413 East Commercial avenue. Ser-I Ser-I vices were held at St. Paul's Catholie j church. Rev. Father Coopman, Mrs. Labissi-oniere, Labissi-oniere, Mrs. J. H. Latrell, Miss Xellie Lang and others are engaged in the preliminary work of organizing a court of the Lady Forresters in St. Peter's parish. Rev. Father Coopman, pastor of St. Peter's, has as a guest Rev. John Ar-dau, Ar-dau, a Greek Catholic priest, who has come to Montana to administer to th spiritual wants of his countrymen who reside in Anaconda and the surrounding districts. Father Ardau is located at Oliphant, a suburb of Scranton, Pa. The funeral of P. G. Walsh took place on Tuesday afternoon from Eh-ert's Eh-ert's undertaking parlors. Services at St. Peter's church. |
