Show I BOISE, IDA. I j i Theresa Veronica Gibbons Hawley. the four-months-old bride of Jesse i. Hawley, a well known young attorney of this city, died at 4 o'clock last Friday Fri-day evening after an iflness with typhoid fever lasting two months. Mrs. Hawley was born at Broadhead, Wis., Aug. 20. 18S0. She graduated with honors from the Janesville High school and then took up the study of music under the most skillful teachers obtainable. She came to Boise on account ac-count of her health in June, 1W3, and spent the summer here. It was during that summer that she met Mr. Hawley and the romance began which led up to their marriage last July. After spending spend-ing the summer here she went to Wei-ser, Wei-ser, where s;he wri - engaged as musical instructor in the Vciser academy. Mrs. Haw ley w as married July 21, at her home in Janjsvill and after spending spend-ing several weeks in the east the happy-couple happy-couple came to Boise and left a few-days few-days later for Payette lakes. It was there that she was stricken with the fever which resulted in her death. Deceased was 2fi years of age aid loaves a brother and sister, besides the husband. Miss Mary Gibbons, her sis- I ter. arrived last week and was at her j bedside w hen she passed away. Mrs. I Hawley was conscious to the last and was planning for her sister's entertainment entertain-ment during her stay here. Jack Riley of Hailey spent Sunday in the city, leaving for home on the evening train. Mi.ss Mary Terries returned to Weiser Saturday morning. She came up to attend at-tend the funeral of Mrs. Hawley. Mrs. Ed Matheson and daughter, Edna Ed-na of Murphy, are pending a few days in the city. Miss Celia Coleman, who has been clerking at the Golden Rule for four months, has returned to her home at Kuna. |
