Show The Mission at Ogden. The Rev. Father J. R. Rosswinkel preached the third sermon of the mission, mis-sion, which was an eloquent one, at St. Joseph's Catholic church Tuesday night to a large and interested congregation. The subject of his sermon was "The Confessional, or Can Man Forgive Sin." This is a subject that has long been a puzzle to the non-Catholic, but the reverend speaker made the answer very clear. The reverend father is a forceful speaker, and the congregation listened vith rift 'ir-tovest for an hour After the sermon Rev. Father Dona- her gave Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Rev. Father Rosswinkel led ' the congregational singing, which with , the splendid work of the 'regular choir, made the services grandly impressive. Father Rosswinkel visited in Salt Lake last week and was shown through the ' cathedral by Rev. Father Kiely. The reverend father considers the cathedral ', one of the most beautiful in America. He particularly admired the frescoe work of the organ gallery, the sanctu- ' ary, and the exquisite Stations of the Cross. He also remarked on the size and grandeur of the edifice in general. Rev. Father Cushnahan is enjoying splendid health, and is almost boyishly happy over the success of the mission. 4 He has always a warm, kindly welcome for his Salt Lake friends, a welcome that is gratefully appreciated.
