Show JUNIOR CHOIR ENTERTAINED. One of the prettiest and most enjoyable en-joyable children's parties of the season sea-son was given Friday evening, when the hospitable home of Dr. and Mrs. P. S. Keogh, 13S E street, was thrown open for the pleasure of fifty-two fifty-two members of the Junior choir , of St. Mary's cathedral. The spacious parlors were beautifully decorated with autumn flowers and leaves, while streamers of corresponding colors draped from the chandeliers and windows win-dows throughout the rooms, converted the house into a veritable fairyland. The principal features of the evening even-ing were interesting guessing games, dear to the hearts of all children, at which Miss Loretta Boehler and Miss Katheiine O'Connor were the lucky winners of appropriate prizes. Before the little guests departed delicious de-licious refreshments were served. Mrs. Keogh was ably assisted by Miss Nora Gleason and the little Misses Barnett. Olive Wall, Naomi Hoffman and Mary Hughes. Among the many delightful surprises sur-prises planned by the hostess, the large cake with the words "Junior Choir" written with red candies, and in whose delicious depths were hidden medals and dimes, which, when discovered dis-covered caused excitement and delight, de-light, was extremely pleasing to the little ones. Each little girl present contributed to the evening's enjoyment by singing, recitations- and dancing. The entire choir sang selections from the famous and popular "Dreamland." The happy hap-py evening was brought to a close when the children, with their sweet voices, sang the favorite hymn, "Daily, Daily, Sing to Mary," which greatly pleased those present. The happiness of the evening was complete when the Right Ileverepd Bishop Scanlan came to pay his respects re-spects to the hostess and her charming charm-ing little guests, and who is never so happy as when following in the footsteps foot-steps of-his Divine Master, who said, "Suffer little children to come unto Me." |
