Show HAPPY MARRIAGES. "Among practical Catholics," lately said a person per-son of wide experience, "few marriages turn out unhappily. un-happily. Most of them get along togethsrjiicely. It is the rare exception that ends miserably," and then only when one party or the other, husband or wife," i goes to the bad, through drink or other failinig. J Mixed marriages are a fruitful source of unhappi-ness. unhappi-ness. But most of the failures in married life that are known to me are among non-Catholics." When two Catholics, who are in -the state of grace, get married, they receive strength from the Sacrament of Matrimony to love each other, to bear and forbear, to be kind and patient, and to be able to fulfill their obligations of the wedded state. A sober and industrious Catholic young man. who goes to Holy Communion every month, will make a good husband, and the affectionate daughter daugh-ter of a successful mother will make a good wife. God Himself helps virtuous Catholic couples to get along together contentedly. They have their troubles, but they have His aid. His peace is with them. Xo wonder they are happy. |
