Show SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. The Wednesday Afternoon Literary club reorganied for the season of 1910-11 at an unusually interesting meeting held Wednesday afternoon, October 5, at the home of the president, presi-dent, Mrs. Herbert W. McLauthlin, 1340 Steele street. The session was purely a social one, but the program committee submitted its plan for the winter's work, included in which are several interesting and unique features. fea-tures. Miss Margarine Cahill has returned from a summer's outing at Twin Lakes, Colo. E. H. Sullivan of Alamose was in Denver during the week. His brother is ill at St. Joseph's hospital, and news of the fact called him to this city. Mrs. Joseph A. Osner of 357 Broadway Broad-way will be hostess this week to the Friday 500 club. The club has recently re-cently reorganized for the season, with the following members: Mrs. William A. Grainger, president: Mrs. Joseph C. Hagus. treasurer: Mrs. M. J. McCarthy. Mrs. Frank W. Barry, Mrs. Joseph A. Osner. Miss Julia McLaughlin. Mc-Laughlin. Mrs. Coryell, Miss Kalhe-rine Kalhe-rine Flaherty. Mrs. Nancy Gratiot, Mrs. M. C. Harrington, Mrs. E. H. Burton. Mrs. E. H. Straub. Mrs. Frank Kirchhof. Mrs. H. F. Ellard, Mrs. George L. Moffitt and Mrs. T. F. Dolan. One of the prettiest luncheons of the season was given on Wednesday of last week by Mrs. Daniel G. Mon-aghan Mon-aghan of 1673 York street. Autumn foliage adorned the rooms and formed the decoration of the luncheon table, at which were seated sixteen guests. Mrs. J. J. McFe'eley is visiting in Pueblo. Colo. Miss Mary Flynn and Master lr-ban lr-ban Flynn wil leave next week for San Francisco to join their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Flynn. who have been on the coast since April. i Mrs. John C. Martin returned to her home in Goldfield. New. last Tuesday, alter a pleasant visit with Denver friends. While here Mrs. Martin was the house guest of Miss Julia Clifford. 1340 Gilpin street, and was the recipient of many social attentions. at-tentions. ' On Sunday Mrs. Martin was one of the honor guests at a breakfast given at the Brown by the Writers, a club composed of the active newspaper newspa-per women of Denver. Mrs. Thomas J. O'Donnell has returned re-turned from New York. Miss Tillie Shevnin has returned to Denver after a visit of four months with her sister, Mrs. Edwin Wagner, in St. Louis. Mrs. William A. Grainger enter-taianed enter-taianed her euchre club Thursday afternoon aft-ernoon at her home, 2130 Downing avenue. ! Mrs. Felix O'Neill has returned to her home in Buena Vista, Colo., after a pleasant visit with Denver friends. Her daughters. Miss Hazel O'Neill and Miss May O'Neill, will extend their visit for another week. |
