A JO-stamp cyanide cya-nide mill Is to be erected ot once on tho dold property that has been worked for some years by Lyttleton Price, about ten miles from Cape Horn It appears that John n Hastings nnd Wuyne Darlington, the latter formerly connected with tho White Knob com-pnny com-pnny nt Mackay, purchased a half Interest In-terest In the pioperty, which his been known ns the Valley Creek mine. The purchiiso was innde last November, a feature of tho deal being nn agreement thnt the purchaser should work eight men on Ihe property during the winter nnd erect n mill on tho property If they were satisfied with the developments They aro entirely satisfied with the property and will erect the mill Mr. Hastings Is going to San Francisco nnd Denver to have certain other tests made on ore from tho property. Tho ore chute opened up Is found to bo 300 feet long and thirty feet thick The average aver-age grade of the ore Is J15 a ton The value Is principally In gold, there being only some two ounces of silver. The depth reached on tho ore chute Is 1(0 feet Other ore chutes have been un-(ovcred un-(ovcred on the surface nnd further up the mountain. |
