Whether these changes will be acceptable to the contractor, Mr. Moran, has not yet been fully determined. At a meeting of the council committees last night it was decided to recommend the laying of 1,700 feet of six-inch water pipe in First avenue, from A to J streets, to replace the three-inch pipe now in the street. This work will be done before the paving of the street is started.
