| Show COMMITTEE NAMED in response ros to a call issued last week by mayor W F olson a large number of business men and citizens gathered thursday night at city hall to discuss the matter of state aid in building a road from roosevelt in the reservation to colton there was no difference of opinion among those who attended the meeting it was conceded eded by all that such a road would work a great injustice to the business interests of this city and all agreed that t the building of the road would be a heavy loss to the state owing to the heavy snows which make that roua impassable dining several of the winter months A committee consisting of A W horsley Ho reley state senator G A iver ion and levi N harmon was appointed to go to salt lake city and present to the state road commissioners the protest of the people ol 01 price prices carbon county and many of ol 01 tho the business men of the reservation towns petitions addressed to the road boac commissioners are being circulated throughout carbon bud ad emery counties and among the towns of the reser reservation vulan protesting against the roosevelt colton road and as eoon soon as the work of obtaining signatures Is I 1 finished tho the committee will go to salt lake city and present the pro test to the state authorities |
