Show Softball Association i Campaigns For I Lighted Field FieldA A campaign has been started bythe by bythe the Cedar city Softball Association for tor n a lighted field in Cedar City tomake to tomake tomake make night playing possible There are so many people Cople who wish to pu participate in this form o of recreation tion Uon who cannot get away from work early enough In the evening to d do much playing before dark that that the need for a 11 lighted field has been bern apparent for several I years jears ears Rr Recreation leaders and Softball I j enthusiasts have t tried for the past I se eral years eals to get the city to tot tol provide such a 11 field but have met with will little success The City Council Coun Coun- cil en has felt that the necessity was not great enough to Justify the cost and has declined the financial support necessary Since the city will not provide the lighted field those who wish I Ito to use It It are now planning to tol raise the necessary funds to buy I the equipment for lighting a II field I and have it Installed for use this summer I The Softball Association has hasl I taken the e and is selling season eason tickets at each and it is hoped that at least 0 of these will wilt be sold since it will take I Itha that tha t much money to buy equip equIp- ment Officers have been elected by bythe bythe bythe the association and plans for the seasons season's schedule are being ed rd Team rosters are being regIstered registered regis regIs- so that everything will be in n readiness for far U the e opening of the season Tine The officers of the association are arc H H.
