Show Weston Man Killed In Oxford Accident Today Earl Wentworth Dies Instantly Following Crash In Barrow Pit Earl Wentworth, Weston war veteran and soil conservation conser-vation foreman, was killed instantly in-stantly Thursday afternoon about 3:30 just north of Oxford Ox-ford when a truck loaded with cement and which he was riding rid-ing in crashed into the barrow pit alongside of the road. Two others, Oscar Lundquist and Alton Campbell, both of Weston, were only slightly injured in-jured and were released from the Preston hospital immediately immedi-ately after being treated. The trio had been returning from Inkom with a load of cement ce-ment and while passing a car north of Oxford the cement's heavy weight caused the truck to get out of control and It swerved into the pit. The weight of the cement also crushed the cab of the truck in. Mr. Wentworth leaves a wife and children. |
