C. H Ray Bush as master of ceremonies the nature of the musical numbers number which consisted of or a song by a B chorus of Junior chamber members member and a solo by Tom cardon accompanied accompanied accompanied by Don Draper on the guitar and a stunt pulled at atthe atthe atthe the opening of the meeting The stunt took everyone by sur sur- prise It was started by Durrel W. W Corry who gave a talk full of very caustic remarks about the Senior Senior- Chamber of Commerce and its members which prompted heated and seeming spontaneous but really real real- really ly 11 pre-arranged pre outbursts from Henry E. E Petersen Dr John Beal BeaI Homer Jones and Sumner Hatch The whole thing was so realistic that many of those present were not aware that it was not in all U seriousness until an explanation was made When it was found it was all in fun the crowd caught the spirit of the occasion and followed followed followed fol fol- lowed toast toastmaster ter Bush through a hilarious evening |
