Show City Fathers Attend To Routine Business Routine business matters occupied most of the time tune of o the City Council at Its Us regular meeting Thursday evenIng evening evening even- even Ing pertaining particularly to the passing of bills consideration of collections collections col col- such as for water Ater tap rentals and licenses The council council will wUl meet again apin tonight In special session At the meeting Thursday an order was Issued to remove a number of street lights from the top of the poles to a position below the light wires Some of the street lights are on top of the poles making It necessary for I workmen to climb past the high tension tension ten ten- sion slon wires to replace globes etc which makes It extremely hazardous The Southern Utah Power Powe company offered to furnish the labor If it the city would furnish the materials and the change Is to be made under this plan Jay Sevy member of the Phi Sigma XI fraternity at the Branch Agricultural Agricultural tural college met with I the council and asked that the fraternity be given pe pe- pe mission to place fifty Christmas trees on Main street during the Christmas holidays stating that the trees would be cared for forr by the club dub members member's during the period that they were on n the street No action was taken on the matter but will be within a day or two |
