Show Pioneer Parowan Builder Passes On I Wm Bentley 83 an early pioneer and builder of of Iron county died ai u athis his home in Parowan Saturday December December December De De- cember 2nd from ailments alIments incident to old age Funeral services were held Monday and interment made in the Parowan cemetery Mr Bentley was born In er England In 1850 and came to southern Utah with his family in 1868 His death was the th last of the original family that came to this country from England The was a carpenter and builder and he with his brother John constructed many of the early homes and commercial buildings In both Ce- Ce City and Parowan many of which are areo still sUU standing The two brothers also constructed mo most t of the homes in Hamilton's Hamiltons Fort He was also one of the first carpenters to work in SUver Sll SU- ver Reef and Pioche during the boom days of those mining towns Before coming to America the family kept the Conference house for L. L D. D S. S Missionaries in Manchester having at various conference times as high as thirty missionaries staying at their ther home Surviving are seven daughters Miss Effie Bentley Mrs Alice Lowder Mrs Fannie Stubs and Mrs Barney Taylor of Parowan Mrs Mn Zelma Mesa Arizona Mrs Maude Whiting Springville and Mrs Lucy Eyre Provo Provo Provo Pro- Pro vo three sons John W.
