The present schedule ule I IP is still 1 on n file with with the Ut Commission and is JS available without change if Jf desired The metered pumping rate is designed to give se e for periods shorter than four months which is the afe mum under our flat rate schedule and to give service servia t who no us use fo advant custon customers ers v ca ge amount water obtained from their pumps when operated con continG I The meter rate is more expensive than the flat m mcharge charge customers for customers who can n us use their pumps continuo ly h but will reduce the pumping bill for customers who Rho ui w not advantageously make full fun use of continuous enice The meter rate furnishes service after the regular ink tion pumping season for stock watering or irrigation at tt low rate of lc is per kwh and has JJ minimum of f fv far horsepower or less plus for each additional Both the minimum and the he rats rate per pee kwh are much k lot than the old stock watering waterlOg rate The flat rate section of schedule IP 1 differs from ft old schedule IP in two particulars The new flat ra schedule provides season off-season pumping at the same rate t for the same minimum as the metered rate i. i e. e lc Ie p kwh and a minimum of for 5 horsepower r plus pity j for each additional horsepower In addition the sched IP 1 has a 5 per cent penalty charge bills not paid wil in ten days lays This 5 per cent penalty charge takes t place of the interest charge now now being made under sched IP at the rate of 8 per cent per year In general the pe alty charge under the new ne' schedule is slightly higher the interest charges under schedule IP for those Gusto custo custom who do not pay their bills when due but offers no pe pena for customers who meet their monthly billing For those customers who do not wish to accept the pe alty charger or the lower season off-season rate the present presents dule Jule IP will be continued without change and is ava an avails to all pumping
