Show L DOINGS OF AMERICAN LEGION NO 7 74 A special meeting of Post 74 AmerIcan AmerLean American Amer Amer- ican Lean Legion was wu held Monday evening April Commander Lamb was in If charge and an Interesting meeting was held Plans were laid and committees appointed for the summers summer's activities Earl Urle Uric was selected as a chairman of the dance committee with Loyal Corry Cony and George McDonough as members Herb Milne heads the fight committee with Bill DIU Birrell Dr A A. A L L. Graff John Brown Drown and Hartley Woodbury Woodbury Woodbury Wood- Wood bury as members This committee committed was selected after a great deal of bal bal- It seems there were some objections obJections ob ob- to some members serving this season in as much as they were on the committee last year It was only after several ballots and heated arguments arguments 1 i ments had taken place that the post pent finally elected them I IThe IThe I The question of leasing an eat and ani drink concession at the fight arena aren and dance pavilion was raised As S many seeking this concession were not present at the meeting this Important question was held over until a later date It was brought to the attention of ot the post the difficulties that encountered In the concessions last lat year and the rivalry that existed and the Post Past not wishing to become too Involved In this matter preferred preferred preferred pre pre- to leave it until a later time when all might be heard Comrade Rube nube Shay was appointed to investigate the possibilities of oo oo-l oo 1 00 taming government funds to mate an extensive building program on the American Legion property It being mentioned that it was the desire of the post t to construct a Civic Center Center Center Cen Cen- ter to include a 1 modern gymnasium indoor fight arena swimming pool post club rooms room's rooms auxiliary rooms elc etc Comrades Earl Urle Uric and L. L C C. C Miles were appointed to prepare a Mothers Mother Day program to be held In one of ot the churches the evening of Mothers' Mothers Da Day this program to follow the as I furnished by National headquarter headquarters j Comrades S. S C. C Lamb and B. B J.
