The next t morning a short concer concert t was staged In front of the Roberts Robert Hotel in Provo where many spectators spectator s loaned a listening ear as they passe passed d in their travels At A. A A M. M the bus drove to th the e Provo depot where the band played a short concert In welcome to the Salt Sal Lake and northern Utah Elks while whit e the train paused for tor 15 minutes on Its way to Price for the convention Two hundred Elks and ladies ladles cheered for forthe forthe forthe the Cedar City aggregation as the train moved mo away After Arter touring Provo and seeing the great steel plant the Utah fish Ish and game hatchery and the Springville Art Ga the rest of ot the day was spent in ascending the noted Soldier Soldie Summit which was slow but Interest interest- ing and scenic On arriving in Price the scene o othe of the big convention the band was met by several of the local Elks In conJunction conjunction con con- Junction with several of the Price committeemen They were treated very hospitable and given every favor possible pos pOSt sible not only by the Price aggregation but also by the boys bos from home In fact all the time they were there the local Elks were right at their service and determined that nothing should be left lett undone In showing the young folks a great time and they did have hae a grea great time After having a swim and seeing Interesting Interesting interesting In In- parts of the town the band assembled and marched down Main stopping at an intersection and playIng playIng playing play play- Ing a hat halt hour concert to which thousands of people listened The Th young oung people In red and white were the main attraction while they were in action and they had plenty of 1 It during their short stay After Arter a n sumptuous dinner the hole hoi hole aggregation attended the picture shows show part going to one and the other par part to the other The next morning at 10 o'clock th the Elk parade formed at the head n of Main and one of ot the most spectacular units was the Cedar City Junior band bane followed by the Cedar City Elks The Th parade marched thru the city and u uto up to the park where the band again agal displayed their talent along with other othe bands represented at the convention This concluded a wonderful time made mad up of ot work and fun while in Price ant and the Cedar City Elks were right on th the Job at all times In making it such The next objective was the concert concer hi tn Mr Dones Done's home elt city Payson an and after arter a aery ery very interesting and tour that destination was reached The Lions Club in conjunction wit with the people of of the town made this stop a very Interesting one After Arter a home cooked meal which was greatly enjoyed the band a assembled ed and played eral e selections on Main Street before marching down dO downto to the fie City park where hundreds of ot people gathered to listen to the firs final concert of the trip trip This concert was also with short talks from Payson Pason officials who praised very er highly the work of Mr Done and the aggregation from Cedar City After Arter the concert the group rode down to the Arrowhead swimming pool and had a real duck which refreshed them for the long but enjoyable ride home the next day All AI in all al' it was a trip of accomplishment education and fun one which was immensely appreciated and enjoyed b by the group The Cedar City Eus are to be highly high high- I ly complimented on their fine under- under taking for in such a move more they not only won the friendship and good will of the band old members but did a 1 zeal leal Piece of f boosting for their home town a place we e al all love lo Announcement I Is la made of the marriage marriage mar mar- of ot Miss Louise Perry and Don Mackelprang l which took place in Mantl Manti on May tay Mr and I Mrs Mackelprang will make their home In Cedar CIl City Dr O.
