Walton of the midway and concessions for the Cache County Fair . to be held September 12, 13, 14 has signed fcr an unusual free attraction to take place on the race track each night of the fair in front of the grand stand. This attraction is no other than the famous Captain Jerry Edwards, one of the Hell divers and ace daredevils of the world. Hell divers who flirt with death as they drive their automobiles at seventy miles per hour through flaming board walls, leap them through the air in a broad jump cf over 100 feet and then crash two cars together iwhile going sixty miles per hour are some of the dare-devil stunts Captan Edwards with his crew will perform per-form during the fair. Captain Edwards Ed-wards will leap from an nicline and attempt to break his 109 foot broad jump record. In this feat the car is driven at great speed up a specially built ramp and then hurled through the air. In one performance he will take a handkerchief from the hands of an assistant as the leap is made through the air. In another performance per-formance he will jump over the prostrate forms of seven men in this flying auto. The climax of the performances for the fair wil be the crash of two auto wrecks, one to be furnished fur-nished by the Lundberg Buick and the other by the Cache Auto Co. These cars will attain a speed of nearly sixty miles around the track in opposite directions, and as they near each other, the driv- ers will jump from the cars and allow the cars to collide. After the collision the wrecks will be on demonstration near the fair building. build-ing. The county and city police officers are cooperating with this event and plan to impress the public with the necessity of careful care-ful driving and safety first at all times. To jump from these wrecks as they are going at sixty miles before they collide is no ordinary feat. |
