Show School N News Notes Ninth Grade Orade The class officers of the ninth grade are as follows Thomas Wade president president president dent LaRue Corry Cony vice-president vice Venice Leigh secretary and Fay Pay Walker treasurer We are sure that these students will uphold and sustain the laws of our class and school 91 81 had bad a very Interesting hobo hike at the beginning of school Everyone dressed like Uke a hobo They were all loaded Into cars and taken down to a farm where here they played games sang songs and and had a very appetizing lunch The ninth graders are still planning more good times Umes and frolics so be looking for the news of these events Eighth Grade The class officers elected for this school year are Elsie Little president Virginia Bergstrom vice-president vice Clare Bryant secretary and treasurer Alan Macfarlane Ellen McConnell Margaret Jones and Bill amusement committee We have a avery avery avery very splendid group In this year We want them to work hard and know that the Newspaper Club Is back of them We are sorry that Bill could not stay with us The Eighth Grade students gave a aFancy aFancy aFancy Fancy Dress Carnival Ball BaIl in October The purpose of this dance was to raise money for the ninth grade reception next spring A large crowd turned out and everyone had a very good time Ume Prizes were awarded for the best costumes and there were so many costumes that the judges had hada a time to select the best As a farewell party for Zelma Stout who left us to go to California the students of the 81 group had a very fine hike bike during the first part of October The evening selected for the hike was a fine clear Friday night They went up on the hills east of town where they built bunt a big fire and roasted weenies and marshmallows They returned home about thir nine ty tired but happy Seventh Grade The final election for seventh grade officers had not been held when this went to press From the fine candidates candidates candidates can can- on both parties however we weare weare weare are sure we will he have ve some good class officers The three seventh grades had bad spelling match In Mr room at the end of the week There were a number of pupils still standing standing standing stand stand- ing when the bell rang but the final results of the match showed that the section was the winner The section had bad a very successful successful successful success success- ful party during October at Marie Nelsons Nelson's farm A great deal of fun was had playing games and then the thi group ate chicken and other refreshments refreshments refresh refresh- ments merits around their bonfire Last Friday night the 9 91 section gave a dancing party The hall was trimmed with Thanksgiving decora decora- The that was charged was as a third of a cent for every pound you weighed which was hard on some of the heavier ones Everyone who bought a ticket was given a chance on the the prizes prizes' which were given away These were a turkey two chickens and a box of candy Free refreshments refresh refresh- refreshments h- h ments menta were served and everyone had hada a good time A group of boys and girls were playing cards one night All AU of a sudden sudden sudden sud sud- den J J.
